MORRISTOWN, NJ - An investigation is underway following the discovery of two bodies submerged in a pond on February 23, announced Acting Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Morris County Sheriff James M. Gannon, Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of Detectives Christoph Kimker, and Town of Boonton Captain Stephen Jones.
According to law enforcement, police were dispatched to the Upper Pond section of Grace Lord Park in Booton just after 5:30pm with reports of an unattended child. After searching the area, police located the bodies of a 35 year old female and an 11 year old child, submerged in the water. The six year old who was found near the water was unharmed, said police.
"The identities will not be released at this time as the investigation is ongoing", stated the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
