The Union County Homicide Task Force is investigating the discovery of human remains that were found on a residential street in Linden, N.J. earlier this morning.
The medical examiner has determined that the body parts are indeed human and the investigation is continuing. There were two bodies found inside of trash bags near the intersection of Essex Ave and Cranford Ave.
Autopsies are scheduled for this afternoon. Union County Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow has scheduled a press conference for 3:45p.m. It will be held at 32 Rahway Avenue in Elizabeth, N.J.
This is an active investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
