FAIR LAWN, NJ – Board of Education trustee Wilkin Santana is supporting Rita Fayvelevich and Vladimir Itkin in the November 5 Fair Lawn Board of Education election.

"We need people on the board who will ask how and why, and when necessary, vote no," Santana said.

Nine individuals are running for three positions on the board. Each open position has a three-year tenure.

“I am supporting Rita and Vladimir because they are the best candidates to represent the interest of the children and taxpayers,” Santana said. “Rita and Vladimir both have a strong math background and will advocate for responsible school spending.”

Santana said he is speaking on behalf of himself, and not as a trustee of the Fair Lawn Board of Education. He is a Fair Lawn homeowner with a child in the Fair Lawn school system.

“I know as a parent that Rita and Vladimir base their decisions on evidence and data,” he said, commenting through his background as an educator.

“What is most important to me is to provide students with the best possible education we can afford,” Santana said, “and ensure taxpayers receive the best value for their hard-earned money they pay in taxes.”
