ELIZABETH, NJ — Families can pick out free books at the Elizabethport Community Center on November 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Elizabethport Community Center parking lot.
The free book event is being held by Prevention Links and Amerigroup on Sunday, which is National Family Literacy Day and the first day of National Family Literacy Month.
While the book giveaway is being held in Elizabeth, Prevention Links is based in Roselle and serves all Union County residents.
The Elizabethport Community Center held a book drive from October 12-23 to collect books for the giveaway. The books collected were to be new or gently used and ranged in reading levels from Pre-K to 12th Grade.
