Chuck Tripi, a resident of Sparta, has just published his book of poems entitled Carlo and Sophia. Sponsored by the Betty June Silconas Poetry Center, the signing will be held in the Performing Arts Center atrium at Sussex County Community College on May 4th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tripi will also be doing a reading from his new book.
Tripi’s poems are stunning in their ability to take our world, replete with family, friends, work and nature, and give it back to us in a way we often don’t take the time to consider. Whether it’s an ice fog or a mourning dove, the nature of love opens before us lush and luminous, and we see our lives as blessed.
Chuck is a founding partner of The Paulinskill Poetry Project, a boutique press and resource for poets of the Upper Delaware River Region. He is also on the advisory board for the Betty June Silconas Poetry Center. Recent poems have appeared in The Alembic, The GW Review, Grist, The Midwest Quarterly, and Spillway. His collection, Carlo and Sophia, is available at Cyberwit.net and Amazon.com.
