Tax season is upon us, and many people have been calling and coming by to see if we have state and federal tax forms.  We have begun getting some of the Federal tax forms and booklets.  We put what we have received out in the wooden holder in our entryway.  The State of New Jersey does not send out tax forms.  If you filed last year, you should receive one in the mail.  If you need to call New Jersey for tax forms, you can call the Division’s Customer Service Center (609-292-6400) to request 2013 income tax forms and instructions.  We have a binder at the circulation desk that contains a NJ tax form, the instruction booklet, and Schedule A & B.  You can come in and make photocopies of the forms and instruction booklets, but the binder cannot be checked out.  We do not offer tax advice; we just provide forms and booklets.

Missed a new movie you wanted to see in the theaters and don’t want to pay for the DVD?  Come to “Monday Night Movies” at the library.  It’s all the fun of a movie theater but none of the cost.  We are showing brand new releases every Monday night at 6:30pm and will provide popcorn for all who attend.  The next movie is on March 24th and stars Cate Blanchett in her 2014 Oscar winning role.  This movie tells the story of a rich Manhattan socialite (played by Cate Blanchett) falling into poverty and homelessness which forces her to go to her sister for help.  It is presented free and no registration is required.  You can stop by the library and pick up a list of upcoming movies that will be shown.

We are expanding our collection to now include e-magazines.  Our new Zinio for Libraries Digital Magazine service gives you full digital access to some of your favorite magazines! Right now we have a limited number of magazines in our collection.  You can view the magazines on your computer, or on a wide variety of desktop and mobile apps. When you first use Zinio for Libraries, you will need to create an account with your name, email, and a password, after you have logged in through the library website with your library card.  Once you are logged in to Zinio for Libraries and choose your first magazine, you will have to CREATE ANOTHER ACCOUNT on to view magazines. We recommend using the same email address and password to set up the account. Once this account is created, you can use it to view any of the magazines you want to read. If you already have a Zinio account for your personal magazines, a second Zinio account will have to be created for the free access which the library is providing. You will have to download and install the appropriate app for your computer or digital device.  You will be required to go to our Zinio for Libraries site to select every issue. Once you select an issue there, it will automatically be available in the app for your iPad, Kindle Fire, or other device, but the next month's issue will not automatically download.  If there is any questions, stop by the library and pick up a handout that has more information.
