Combined, Borgata and partypoker generated $3.9 million in online gaming revenue, giving the network a market-leading 41% total share of New Jersey's online gaming business. Borgata accounted for $2.7 million in revenue, a 15% increase over December 2013.

Eight teams of students studying at the Academy of Culinary Arts cranked up the heat in this year's Pre Chef Grand Prix held last Sunday at Atlantic Cape Community College's Mays Landing campus. Teams were judged on presentation, taste, creativity and cost when tasked with preparing a three-course dinner menu suitable to be served for an Atlantic City Restaurant Week meal at a $33.14 price point. The competition was judged by Frank Dougherty, owner of Dock's Oyster House, Knife and Fork Inn and Harry's Oyster Bar, Ed Hitzel, host of "Ed Hitzel's Table for One" radio show, and Ed Hitzel's Restaurant Magazine, and Nina Davuluri, Miss America 2014. The teams were mentored by ACA chef instructors Chef LaTorre, Chef Walman, Chef Chelius, Chef Sarano and Chef Mattes. The competition was overseen by Dean of the ACA, Kelly McClay, and ACA Director of Culinary Operations, Chef Bruce Johns. Teams Beef Cakes, Cereal Killers, Do ACA, High Stakes, Holy Guacamole, Hungry People, Imperial Fire and Team Cuisine competed, with Team "Holy Guacamole" (Steven Calhoun, Blaise Colamarino, Confesor Barrientos Jr. and Kate Trivelis) winning the top prize which included a $1,000 scholarship for each team member, a 9" Berghoff chef knife and the opportunity to feature their menu (Caramelized Onion and Pear Soup; Grilled Pork Chop and Lemon Sabayon) at 'A Taste of Atlantic City Restaurant Week' being held on February 26, 2014 at the Atlantic City Country Club. The original Bruce Springsteen tribute group, BSTREETBAND, will perform at The Social at Revel on Friday, March 14, at 9 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public!
The BSTREETBAND, originally known as Backstreets, was formed in Asbury Park in May of 1980 by musicians Will Forte and the late Bob Chipak. Since that time, the top drawing band has performed from Maine to the Bahamas for well over 3 million people.
The addition of Springsteen look-alike, Glenn Stuart, furthered the success of the BSTREETBAND who now plays powerful Springsteen favorites as well as dance music. Selections range from the legendary Roy Orbinson, Billy Joel, 70's Disco, and Motown to Tom Petty and John Mellencamp.
Over the last 30 years, the band has been estimated to have played in over 800 different nightclubs and 200 colleges through 20 different states and is now considered to be the longest running tribute band in the world.
The 65th Annual Atlantic Builders Convention (ABC) is scheduled for March 25-27, 2014 at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ. It is the largest convention for the building industry in the Northeast attracting more than 6,500 attendees and housing nearly 400 exhibits.
Key events scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 include the NJBA Board of Directors Meeting, Economic Forecast and President’s Installation Dinner. The Industry Awards Luncheon will be on Wednesday, March 26. The grand finale of the convention will be the Sales and Marketing (SAM) Awards Dinner on Thursday, March 27.
The educational programs will begin on Wednesday, March 26 at 9:00 AM.
