Boy Scouts Invite Alumni to Reconnect with Scouting

SPARTA, NJ – The Sussex District, Boy Scouts of America invite former and current Scouting alumni to attend Connect with Scouting, an alumni event being held on Wednesday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m. located at the Mohawk House, 3 Sparta Avenue, in Sparta.  The event will be hosted by current Scout volunteers and the Patriots’ Path Boy Scout Council.

“Much has changed in Scouting, as we help today’s youth be prepared for life, but the important things have stayed the same,” said Alison McHose, Sussex county Scouting volunteer. 

The evening program will include a discussion on some of the new 21st century merit badges; Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) in Patriots’ Path Council; our Alumni Adventure to New Mexico and Philmont; the Leadership Excellence- Direct Results program and the 2015 Liberty Jamboree at Liberty State Park.

Alumni will be able to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.  They will also have the opportunity to network and share business information with other attendees.   The event is being held at no cost to the attendees. 

There are several other alumni events being held across northern New Jersey too.  Please be sure to register in advance.
