WEST CALDWELL, NJ — The Caldwell boys basketball team built a 12-point lead in the first quarter and outscored Montclair-Kimberley Academy in all four quarters on its way to a 62-33 victory on Monday.

Cristian Talavera scored 23 points and pumped in five 3-pointers for the Chiefs (9-5), who led, 26-11, at halftime.

Rocco Checchetto scored 12 points and Ray Zamloot finished with eight points for Caldwell, which held MKA (5-7) to 11 field goals total in the game.
