MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The Columbia boys basketball team put up 32 points in the opening quarter on its way to an 83-59 victory over Piscataway on Monday.

Sophomore point guard Jalen Robinson went for 22 points, 10 assists and three steals for Columbia (10-4), which opened a 19-point lead by the end of one quarter.

Senior guard Nigel Garcia finished with 14 points and nine assists, Chris Darcelin dropped in 12 points and Justin Laguerre contributed 10 points for the Cougars. Josiah Lawful totaled 10 rebounds and four blocks to go with seven points.
