SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- In a seesaw battle, Summit boys basketball defeated Scotch Plains-Fanwood, 48-42, at SPFHS on Thursday. 

The Raiders started off well and outscored their opponents 18-17 in the first quarter, but a poor second quarter in which Summit outscored Scotch Plains-Fanwood, 10-5, gave the visiting Hilltoppers a 27-23 halftime lead. 

Justin Fletcher turned in his best performance of the year with 16 points. Jayson Williams scored 13. Everyone else was in the single digits.
