SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Union Catholic boys soccer team celebrated Senior Day in fitting fashion when senior Brian Espinosa scored two goals to spark the Vikings to a 2-1 victory over Roselle in front of a big crowd on Tuesday.

It was Union Catholic's third victory in its last four games as the Vikings evened its record at 7-7-1 on the season. 

Union Catholic struck first in the first half when Espinosa scored off a feed from Ethan Scariati.

With the score tied 1-1 in the second half, Espinosa tallied the game-winner when he scored on a free kick.     

Seniors David Laguitan and Justin Couto shared duties in net for Union Catholic as Laguitan stopped three shots, and Couto recorded two saves. The Vikings will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to take on Rahway at 4:00 p.m. at Rahway River Park.
