Boys Travel Basketball Team Advances to Garden State Central Division Championship Game

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - After a slow start to the regular season that culminated in a 6-4 record, the 5/6th grade boys travel basketball team showed their true Tiger desire, as they initiated the playoff tournament with a victory over Tewksbury in the quarterfinals 48-34. They quickly advanced to the semi finals and pulled out a 44-41 win against Morristown. As Coach Shepard always says, "We bend, but we don't break."

The 5/6th grade boys have earned passage to the Garden State basketball central division championship game, which will be played at home at the PAL on Sunday, March 16th at 1:00 pm.

This 2013–2014 inaugural 5/6th grade boys travel basketball team is comprised of: Demarcus Shepard, Brody Donovan, Joey Walker, Shaun Boffard, Obi Ibeku, Christian Weber, Bradley Young, Justin Hosein, Justin Roberts, Mitchell Dudak, Troy O'Connor and Samar Abdullah.

The team has made significant progress since the beginning of the season. The players and coaches appreciated this wonderful opportunity.
