SUMMIT, NJ - A third Summit Public Schools student has tested positive for COVID-19.
Following the news that two Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School students have tested positive for the virus, it was announced today that a Brayton Elementary School student has also tested positive.
According to a letter sent to the 'Summit Public Schools Community' by Superintendent of Schools Scott Hough and Brayton Principal Dr. Cheryl Moretz, "This positive case had an out-of-school link to the previous cases from earlier this month, and the student has been under quarantine since that investigation,"
The letter went on to state, "Officials from the Department of Health say no close contacts at school were established in this recent case. They did not reccommend closing any classrooms, programs, or schools."
