To get residents and students excited for the upcoming 2nd Annual Basilone Bowl, the Marine Corps is sponsoring spirit competitions throughout the different schools.

Among the competitions are a Marine Corps pull-ups competition, with a pull-up bar set up at the schools. Whichever school logs the most correct Marine-sanctioned pull-ups on average will be the winner, and that will be announced during half time of the game.

The competition came to Bridgewater-Raritan High School May 13, and students helped by adding to their team's score.

Senior Kyle Kieran finished 13 pull-ups, while Dan Hincapie completed 22 pull-ups and Nate Muniz finished 10. In total, the high school pulled past the 500 pull-up mark.
