ELIZABETH, NJ – Two brothers were indicted for first-degree aggravated manslaughter last week for the July 2013 beating death of North Plainfield resident James White.

Larry and Michael Lowery, of Piscataway and Plainfield respectively, are accused of severely beating White in an altercation on July 27th, 2013.  White was taken to JFK Medical Center in Edison where he died two days later from injuries related to the fight.

The Lowerys, reported to be members of the Crips gang, fled New Jersey and were part of a mutli-state manhunt.  They were eventually arrested in North Carolina on August 5 and extradited to New Jersey.  Both are currently in the Union County Jail.
