FANWOOD, NJ - Sometime between April 24 and May 2, a resident in the 200 block of North Martine Ave. reported a burglary to their home. It is unknown what was taken at this time.
On May 5 at 10 a.m. in the 70 block of North Martine Ave, an officer was on a field investigation and located a person showing an active warrant out of Fanwood. The defendant, Israel Weaver, is a 20-year-old male from Plainfield. He was arrested, processed and turned over to the Union County Correctional Facility.
On May 10 at 8 p.m., a resident in the 200 block of Paterson Road came home and found an unknown person in his house. The resident called 911, and patrol officers located the suspect fleeing the area. He was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $ 55,000 and the suspect, Clifford High a 60-year-old male from Plainfield, was placed in the Union County Correctional Facility.
