Burglary and Thefts in Westfield

April 15, 2014 4:18 p.m.

A resident from the 200 block of Maryland Street reports being the victim of a theft. Victim reports that unknown actor(s) removed approximately $700.00 worth of belongings from the residence.

Terrell Bagley, 19, of Linden was arrested on three outstanding warrants issued by the City of Newark Court (total $1,300.00) following a motor vehicle stop at South and Summit Avenues. Bagley posted bail and was released.

April 17, 2014 8:48 a.m.

Renata Wieczorek, 44, of Colonia was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for an arrest from Linden Municipal Court in the amount of $250.00. Wieczorek was arrested and processed and released on her own recognizance.

April 19, 2014 12:40 a.m.

Michael Bednarz, 32, of Elizabeth was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the area of E. Broad Street by Davis Court. Bednarz was transported to Westfield Police Department where he was processed and released to a sober adult.

April 20, 2014 8:04 p.m.

After being stopped for motor vehicle violations Terrence Johnson, 34, of Dunellen was arrested on outstanding warrants from the Union County Sherriff’s Department in Plainfield and Metuchen. After processing, Johnson was remanded to County lock up.

April 22, 2014 12:15 a.m.

James Gabriel, 18, and one juvenile male, 17, were arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to an investigation in the 900 block of Harding Avenue. Gabriel and juvenile were transported separately to Westfield police headquarters. At Headquarters, Gabriel was processed and released on his own recognizance with a mandatory court date. Juvenile suspect was released to his guardian.

April 22, 2014 7:06 a.m.

Report of a burglary/theft in the 900 block of Brown Avenue. Resident reported that sometime overnight suspect(s) unknown entered his unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the driveway of the home and took items worth approximately $690.00.

April 22, 2014 12:51 p.m.

Justin Cicchino, 37, of Bloomfield was arrested for COC out of Westfield and Springfield. Cicchino posted $174.00 bail for Westfield and was released on his own recognizance on the Springfield warrant.

David Bodine, 32, of Rahway was arrested for an outstanding Westfield Municipal Court traffic warrant ($179.00) pursuant to a pick up at Cranford Police Department. Bodine was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on posted bail.

Condominiums Will Replace Lawnmower Shop in Clark

CLARK, NJ – A seven-unit condominium building will soon stand on the site of the Clark Power Equipment property at 1132 Westfield Ave.  The Clark planning board voted unanimously in favor of an application presented by Vincenzo Associates at its meeting Thursday night.
