NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – James Burke and Jack Harvey are well on their way to becoming two of the best players in New Providence lacrosse history.
Over the past two games, the attack duo eclipsed yet another career milestone: the 200-point club. While Burke reached the plateau during Saturday’s 13-1 victory over Oratory Prep, Harvey followed with two goals and two assists to reach the marker in the Pioneers' 13-11 defeat of Arthur Johnson on Monday.
The Pioneers trailed, 4-3, after the first quarter, but scored three of the four second-quarter goals to take a one-point lead into halftime.
New Providence extended its lead to 10-7 after the third, before holding to a two-goal lead in the fourth.
Outside of Harvey’s two-goal, two-assist performance, Burke led all scorers with four goals. Fellow attacker Jonathan Ebert put in three of his own, to go with four assists in the victory.
Joe Francisco led the Crusaders with four tallies.
