The event is expected to end at 7 p.m.

“The Business Partnership Ransone Golf Classic is recognized as the most successful golf networking event in Somerset County,” said Rosalin Petrucci, co-chair of the Classic, in a release about the event. “It is one of a small number of signature events in Somerset County. It was the first event of its kind that now continues the tradition of bringing business and political leaders together for a relaxing day of golf and networking. It has become the standard by which other business golf events are executed.”

Robert G. Ransone was Somerset County Director of Economic Development in 1967, and was instrumental in opening channels of communication between the county government and the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce, which began before the business partnership.

Ransone organized the original golf tournament in 1972, and a trophy awarded for low score is named in his honor.

The registration fee for an individual golfer is $350 and $1,400 for a foursome. Sponsorships starting at $250 are available for businesses.
