ROSELAND, NJ- The Essex County Environmental Center on 621B Eagle Rock Avenue in Roseland is abuzz with activity during the month of July. From yoga classes for adults on Thursday evenings and Friday mornings, to environmental education classes for children and adults alike on everything from butterflies to essential oils are offered throughout the month.
“Our Environmental Center has become the premiere location for environmental education and nature appreciation,” said Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, Jr. “With the help of our partner groups, our dynamic schedule of events and activities will captivate all ages.”
Beginning on Monday, July 14 through Friday, July 25 from noon to 3 pm the “Butterfly Safari Tent” will open to visitors of all ages. The Tent presents the chance to witness live butterflies first hand and also offers opportunities for butterfly crafts and table activities. A $2 per person donation to the Essex County Parks Foundation is suggested.
