CLARK, NJ – A special meeting of the Clark Town Council will be held on June 26 at 7 p.m. in Room 30 of the Municipal Building in Clark. The purpose of the meeting is to interview three prospective candidates to fill the seat vacated by the sudden death of Democratic Councilman Rich Kazanowski earlier this month. The Clark Council is required to fill the seat within thirty days of the death of the councilman.
The Democratic Committee has submitted Michele Miller, Marie Soyka and Robert E. Weber to the Clark Council for consideration.
While the meeting is open to the public, the interviews will be conducted in closed session. A prospective candidate, however, may choose to be interviewed during the public session of the meeting.
After the candidate interviews, the public will have an opportunity to offer opinions to the council, which will then deliberate publicly and select a candidate to fill the position of Third Ward Councilperson.
The candidate will be sworn in that evening at the conclusion of the meeting.
