NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - A candelight vigil has been scheduled for the evening of Monday, Aug. 5 at Our Lady of Peace Church's soccer field for 4-year-old Brooke Healey, a girl who has been diagnosed with a rare, inoperable brain tumor called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Giloma (DIPG).
Brooke is the daughter of borough residents Steve and Stefani Healey, both graduates of New Providence High School. People who are unable to attend the event but who wish to offer their hope and support have been asked by the organizers to place a lit candle in their window or on their doorstep.
