Car Stolen Out of Driveway on Jan. 21

LIVINGSTON, NJ - On Tuesday, Jan 21, around 7:40 a.m. Livingston Police received a report that a black four-door 2013 Audi Q-7 was stolen out of the driveway of 283 East Cedar St.

The homeowner reportedly turned on their vehicle, to warm it up before leaving, then re-entered their house. Once the homeowner was inside, a vehicle, that police Sgt. Anthony Dippold described as either a silver Honda or a silver Acura, pulled into the driveway in front of the Audi. A male wearing a blue ski jacket and a gray hood then proceeded to step out the passenger side door of the silver vehicle and into the Audi. The driver of the silver vehicle remained behind the wheel of the silver car. Both vehicles then exited the driveway, making a right onto the northbound lane of East Cedar Street and moving toward I-280.

A camera watching over the driveway, set up prior to the incident by the homeowner, recorded the theft. The police ask anyone with evidence of the stolen Audi to call the Livingston Police Department.
