ELIZABETH, NJ — Friday morning a caravan of cars decorated in pink will be driving through Elizabeth beginning by the waterfront in celebration of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The caravan was organized by the Mayor’s office, the City of Elizabeth and the Department of Health and Human Services. At 10 a.m. the caravan will begin at Veterans Memorial Park.

The Breast Cancer Awareness Walk the City usually sponsors in Carteret Park had to be modified to accommodate social distancing due to the pandemic.

Participants in the caravan had to have signed up with the City prior to the event.
