LIVINGSTON, NJ — According to Livingston's CardioYoga, meditation is an area of health that people are becoming more aware of, but that beginning a meditation practice can be overwhelming. 

"Quieting the mind is a muscle you need to strengthen with practice, but the benefits you’ll receive from sticking with it will outweigh any reservations," the team at CardioYoga said. "From decreasing anxiety to improving imagination and creativity, meditation is an amazing tool to calm your mind and can lead to endless possibilities."

CardioYoga studio, located at 521 South Livingston Avenue, is offering a new type of meditation class that will relax participants' bodies and minds. The 30-minute MeditationMassage class is being offered on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m., where participants are guided to let the mind go while Chelsea Alban, a licensed massage therapist, massages and stretches their bodies.

The class is free for the month of February, Class size is limited to eight participants per week, so it is recommended that participants sign up in advance at https://www.cardioyogastudio.com/meditation.

Alban has been practicing massage therapy for almost four years. Most recently, she went through additional training in Thai Massage, where she was properly trained to stretch and massage clients while they relax on their yoga mat.
