The Cattaraugus County Health Department confirmed three additional cases of the coronavirus Thursday, bringing the county’s total to 103. 

According to the press release issued by the department, the three individuals are female health care workers at a Cattaraugus County nursing home. All three women reported no significant travel history and have been asymptomatic. The women received COVID-19 tests on Monday as part of a New York State requirement for weekly testing of all nursing home employees. They received COVID-19 positive results on Wednesday. 

The 101st and 103rd confirmed COVID-19 positive individuals reside in the southwest quadrant of the county, according to the press release. The 102nd COVID-19 positive individual resides in the southeast quadrant of the county.

The department has begun thorough contact tracing on the women. 

The three women are among the eight active COVID-19 cases in the county; 91 residents have recovered, and four have died.
