Fadi Chaaban, MD, of Montville, has recently been appointed as Director of Cardiology at Clara Maass Medical Center (CMMC), an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System.

Prior to this position, Dr. Chaaban served as CMMC's Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory since 2001, and Director of the Department of Medicine.

"I am honored and pleased to take on this new challenge," said Dr. Chaaban. "As Director of Cardiology, I look forward to working with all disciplines of cardiac services to continue to provide the highest level of quality care to our patients."

Dr. Chaaban is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the Board of Nuclear Cardiology and the National Board of Echocardiography. He is affiliated with several organizations including the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

Before joining the Clara Maass team, Dr. Chaaban was a clinical instructor of medicine at the Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education. He remains a partner at NJ Cardiology Associates.

With a doctorate from Saint Joseph University School of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon, Dr. Chaaban went on to complete an internship and residency in internal medicine, and a fellowship in cardiology, at St. Michael's Medical Center while studying at the Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education.
