Channel 12's "On The Road" Comes to Morristown


MORRISTROWN, NJ - Channel 12's Summer Series,  "On the Road" rolled into Morristown this evening. In a live broadcast, Susie Scholz of TAP into Morristown was interviewed by News 12’s anchor, Eric Lanskroner.  Eric is the anchor for the 2:00 PM and 6:00  pm news broadcasts. 

The broadcast highlighted Morristown's historical and cultural atmosphere. "Morristown has a city feel, rich is history. There are numerous restaurants, great shopping and live entertainment", Susie stated. 

Eric was asked to identify the best part of his job.  He said, “I’m a Jersey boy and I love the opportunity to do segments such as “On the Road”.  It gives me an opportunity to see new parts of the state as well as the opportunity to meet our viewers.”

He continued to explain how each News 12 anchor has the opportunity to cover 1 -2  “On the Road” segments.

In addition to Eric, Ivy Charmatz, one of News 12’s Executive Producer of News and Special Projects, was on location for the “On the Road” segment for Morristown.

Ivy expressed her enjoyment covering the “On the Road” segments as well.  “I am from Jersey as well and I love the opportunity to visit various communities and meet the wonderful people that make up those communities,” added Ivy.

Ivy and Eric both agreed that meeting News 12 viewers is always such a highlight.

“It’s so great to meet the people that watch the show.  They are so grateful for the opportunity to cover their town, however, the pleasure is all mine,” said Eric
