TRENTON, NJ -- Additional charges were filed on Friday in an on-going investigation of a police involved shooting that occurred almost a week prior. Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced that the suspect, Joseph Reeves, 37, Trenton, who was wounded during an incident in Trenton has been charged with multiple weapons offenses.
The Prosecutor's Office filed new complaints against Reeves including third-degree aggravated assault and second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a statement announced. Reeves had previously been charged with first degree unlawful possession of a weapon and second degree certain persons not to possess a weapon.
The suspect is currently being detained at the Mercer County Corrections Center pending a detention hearing.
