Charity Rummage Sale at Community Church a Success!

Thank you to the shoppers, volunteers and those who donated items to make the recent Charity Rummage Sale at Community Congregational Church a success! All proceeds from the sale fund community outreach and grants programs, including the “Mobile Meals” program, which feeds 200 meals to the homeless in Newark on the last Sunday of every month, and Harmony Education and Life Partners in Irvington.  The Rev. Dr. Johann Bosman, Senior Minister of Community Church, said:  “This year’s spring sale generated a lot of enthusiasm! Shoppers found great bargains and our church is excited that we can expand our financial support to needy families and charities in our area.”  The church is already planning for the next sale, which will be held on Saturday, October 5.  Donated items, including clothing for men, women & children, furniture, housewares, toys, baby items and sports equipment, are collected all year round at the church.  Visit www.CommunityChurch.org for more information on upcoming Charity Rummage Sales or to learn how to donate.  Community Congregational Church welcomes all people, regardless of former or present religious affiliation and seeks to bring people together to create a community in terms of Christ’s spirit.  The church is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, and welcomes visitors and new members.  For more information, visit www.CommunityChurch.org. Community Congregational Church is located on the corner of Hartshorn Drive and Parsonage Hill Road, at 200 Hartshorn Drive, Short Hills.

December 4, 2016

The Bridges "Love Letter" is an over 10-year tradition started to make sure that every part of a Bridges Outreach run, from the donation of a pound of turkey to the decorating of a bag is acknowledged. The letter takes every participant on the road with the crew to know where that food goes and that every one involved is essential.
