CHATHAM, NJ -
Chatham Borough Memorial Park Municipal Pool and Field Plaque Dedication
Residents are invited to a Plaque Dedication at the Chatham Borough Memorial Park Municipal Pool and Field on Saturday, June 7th.
At 10am the Chatham Borough Mayor and Council will dedicate a plaque honoring those for their contributions and dedication to the park and pool renovation project. The plaque will be installed on the Memorial Park Pool Building.
The Memorial Park and Pool Advisory Committee members being honored are Tony Britt, Tom Fazio, Marisa Hottat, Carol Keating, Jim LeMon, Gerry Malanga, Joe May, Julie Muller, Sandy Roos, Martin Selzer, Michelle Shehadi and Marcy Wecker. Donors being honored are Sprout House and the Chatham Athletic Foundation.
The renovations to Memorial Park and Pool have been a real asset to the community. The fields have been aligned to house two new ball diamonds along with a grass all-purpose field. The pool had additional deck space and a picnic area added. The large pool was resurfaced and the wading pool was brought up to the same level of the large pool. The graduated entry wading pool houses a spray water feature along with three water spouts for the children to enjoy. Added umbrellas, tables and lounges have enhanced the space. A new full sized canopy is being installed to cover the picnic area for those wanting some shade to eat, play a game or read. A Rain Garden has been added to the park and a blacktop area was renovated to house a small sided basketball court for residents to play ball.
We hope you will join us.
