Chatham Girls LAX Advances to MCT Final with 14-10 Victory Over Mendham

MONTVILLE, NJ - Sophomore Bridget Ballard  scored four goals and was credited with an assist in leading Chatham to a 14-10 victory over second-seeded Mendham in semifinal round of the Morris County Girls Lacrosse Tournament on Thursday.

Third-seeded Chatham (9-7) will meet No. 1 seed Mountain Lakes, the defending champion, for the MCT title on Saturday night in Montville.  Mountain Lakes defeated No. 4 seed West Morris, 19-5, in its semifinal on Thursday.

Ballard boosted her season totals to 42 goals and 24 assists for Chatham, which received goals from seven different players in topping Mendham.

Maddy Bowles scored three goals to give her 38 on the season for Chatham, which received two goals apiece from Maggie O'Neill (30 goals) and Morgan Sullivan. The Lady Cougars also received a goal and two assists from Emily Wingate (30 goals, 22 assists), and a goal apiece from Alex Frenzel and Beth Kuyk.

Gislina Saul came up with 11 saves for Chatham. Christine Graziano led Mendham (9-6) with four goals.
