Chatham Girls Track Runs Season-Best Relays at New Balance

NEW YORK - Two Chatham girls indoor track relay teams established season-best times on Saturday at the New Balance Games held in the New York Armory.

The 4x200 team of Simone Kirton, Laura Barber, Sarah Prill and Lia Ferrone posted a best time of 1:53.08. The 4x800 relay team of Alex Frenzel, Erin Tencic, Julia DiSalvio and Laura Walsh also registered a best time of 9:59.07.

The 4x55 shuttle hurdle relay team of Liza Malatesta, Erin O'Connor, Elaine Weaver and Simone Kirton placed fourth for Chatham in 36.95, running a slightly longer race than they normally run in New Jersey.

Chatham's second relay team in the 4x800 - Catherine McNiff, Jess Barry, Katie Steffens  and Julie Hamilton - clocked in at 10:41.96.
