RANDOLPH, NJ - Chatham goalie Michael Park was credited with 58 saves during the Cougars' 3-0 boys ice hockey loss to Delbarton on Thursday at Aspen Ice.
“We had two days to get ready and I thought we came out with a really good effort and played with a sense of urgency from the start,” Chatham coach Brendon Herr said. “Playing a team like Delbarton who is highly skilled and has a quick transition game, we knew we had to try to take time and space away from their top line and play well in our own zone.
"Michael (Park) certainly kept us in the game and made some timely saves and gave our team some confidence as the game progressed.”
Trip Pendy scored two goals for Delbarton (1-0), which received one goal from Chase Pirtle.
Chatham plays Morris Knolls, 3:45 p.m. Friday at Mennen Sports Arena.
