On December 4 & 5, Chatham High School Theatre Department will present a virtual production of The Laramie Project, written in 2000 by Moises Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Project. The play is conducted in interview style as a reaction to the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay University of Wyoming student. Shepard’s murder was denounced as a hate crime and has brought attention to the lack of hate crime laws in many states across our country. This play does have a mature content warning and is recommended for ages 13 and older.

Performances will be held Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5 in virtual format on the ShowTix4U website. Tickets for performances will be purchased online starting Monday, November 30. The link to purchase and watch the show is www.showtix4u.com/events/chslaramieproject
