Chatham Runs its Fastest Van Cortland Park Time

NEW YORK - Led by Will Mitchell's 13:23, the Chatham boys cross-country team placed sixth in the Varsity A race at Van Cortlandt Park with the best team average over the 2.5-mile course on Saturday.,

Dom Vernazza finished 26th in 13:39, helping Chatham post an average time of 13:50.52, the best showing ever as a team at Van Cortlandt.

Varsity A:  6th Place with average time of 13:50.52 over the 2.5 mile course.  This is the best average team time for Chatham ever on the Van Cortlandt Park course.

Chatham's other top finishers were: Grant Hauck, 52 in 14:01; Andrew Vena, 53 in 14:01; Liam Hynes, 57 in 14:06; Parth Shah, 98 in 14:33; Ben Seitz-Sitek,122 in 14:46,

The Chatham JV team was 11th with an average time of 15:25. The top JV runners for the Cougars were: Pat Mortensen, 21st in 14:42; Luke Malanga, 62 in 15:24; Chris Schneider, 76 in 15:32; Alec Gonzalez, 82 in 15:37; Jack Byrd, 91 in 15:47; Dan Bresnahan,104 in 15:50; Alex Bochierri,145 in 16:22.
