Chatham Seniors Treated to Dinner and a Show

Pictured (from left) at the dinner are local residents Marie Krincek, Adriene Gazda and Kay Rittweger with student server Kate Beebe.

CHATHAM, NJ - More than 75 local senior citizens recently attended the dress rehearsal of Chatham High School's hilarious comic farce, "The Servant of Two Masters," and enjoyed a complementary dinner following the show. "The Servant of Two Masters" – which is set in Venice – is an updated version of a commedia dell'arte classic by Carlo Goldoni.

In keeping with the show’s setting, the seniors ate an Italian meal donated by Café Beethoven, Charlie Brown’s, Chatham Sandwich Shop, Elegant Taste, Mangia, and Scalini Fedeli.

Additionally, 20 CHS National Honor Society and Key Club students, who baked desserts for the dinner, also served and waited on the seniors, while CHS cast members met and visited with the diners.
