Chatham Shuttle Hurdle Relay Team Sets School Record

MADISON, NJ - Chatham's girls shuttle hurdle relay team of Liz Malatesta, Erin O'Connor, Rashida Haye and Simone Kirton ran 1:07.21 to set a school record in the event on Saturday at the Dodgertown Relays.

Chatham placed second in the shuttle hurdle relay, helping the Lady Cougars earn 41 points and finish sixth overall among 20 teams. The JV Girls placed 4th overall with 9 points (only 3 JV events).

Varsity Medal Winners included: 4x100m Relay-6th place in 53.58 (Rashida Haye, Lia Ferrone, Laura Barber, Simone Kirton); Distance Medley Relay-5th place in 13:18.61 (Abbie Bigham, Erin Tencic, Amy Duren, Laura Walsh); 4x200m Relay-1st Place in 1:50.95 (Liz Malatesta, Lia Ferrone, Laura Barber, Simone Kirton); 4x800m Relay-3rd place in 10:17.47 (Erin Tencic, Amy Duren, Abbie Bigham, Laura Walsh); 4x400m Relay-2nd place in 4:14.21 (Laura Barber, Morgan Maltby, Liz Malatesta, Lia Ferrone).

Pole Vault Relay-5th place with combined jump of 14' 6" (Colleen O'Neill & Michaela Connor)
