Chatham STEM Presents Prof. Halkiadakis; Offers Google Tour

CHATHAM, NJ - What does it take to win a Nobel Prize in physics?

To find out come to the Library of the Chathams on Friday, May 2 at 4:30-5:30 pm. ChathamSTEM will be hosting Eva Halkiadakis, Physicist and Associate Professor at Rutgers University. Prof. Halkiadakis is a High Energy Physics experimentalist currently working on the CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid) experiment at CERN. She will be discussing the latest physics research that led to the discovery of the Higgs Bosom.

ChathamSTEM presents a free tour of the innovative and inspiring West Chelsea headquarters of Google on Friday, May 9 at 4:30 pm. Get a close-up look at Google's 3D maps and even zoom in on Mars.

The tour will be led by two Chatham residents who each have Ph.ds in Computer Science. The tour is part of ChathamSTEM's ongoing effort to broaden the science and technology education of the students of Chatham and surrounding neighborhoods. The visit will be chaperoned by Chatham parents.

You can either meet the group at the Lobby of Google at 111 8th Avenue at 4:30 pm or at the Chatham Train Station at 3 pm. Participation is limited. Please register at www.ChathamSTEM.org.
