Chatham Volleyball Tops Morristown in Three Sets

CHATHAM, NJ - Junior setter Carolyn Johnson and senior outside hitter Carolyn Beardsley led the way on Thursday when Chatham topped Morristown, 2-1, in girls volleyball.

Chatham (2-0), won the first set, 25-18, dropped the second, 26-24, and took the third set, 25-15.

Johnson finished with 20 assists nine digs and served up three aces while Beardsley pounded 14 kills, had 16 digs and served seven aces.

The strong team effort by Chatham included eight kills and 12 digs from senior outside hitter Zoe Ryan and 16 digs from Natalie Schroder. Chatham had a total of 27 kills in the three sets. Abigail Schubiger had four kills and four blocks for Morristown (0-2).
