SOUTH PLAINFIELD – After months of anticipation, the grand opening of the South Plainfield Chick-fil-A restaurant is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 27. Construction of the 5,000 square foot restaurant began in late November 2019. Located at 4801 Stelton Road in South Plainfield, Chick-fil-A will be open for drive-thru and pick up Monday through Saturday from 6:30a.m. to 10p.m. and closed on Sundays.
Owner of the South Plainfield Chick-fil-A, William Bridges, says the restaurant will provide 80 to 100 jobs. Interviews are currently underway. Bridges says a strong team is essential, and he is in the process of interviewing many applicants from the South Plainfield community. A multifaceted approach is being taken to attract, recruit and hire talented individuals. Bridges is reaching out to the community through social media and a hiring trailer is on site for interviews. Bridges says hiring a strong and dedicated team is essential.
“At Chick-fil-A, we want to be the world's most caring company and that really starts with our team members and our community,” said Bridges. “It's not just the slogan here at Chick-fil-A. It's embedded into our culture. It's a way of life. What sets us apart, in my own opinion, is the people and the fact that we really do care.”
The restaurant has a double drive-thru, mobile ordering, catering, breakfast will be served daily, and WiFi will be available.
Councilman Derryck White says there will be a ribbon cutting on August 27. Details will be announced in the upcoming days. Updates can be found on the South Plainfield Chick-fil-A Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/cfasouthplainfield/.
