West Rockhill Township, PA – Child Psychiatrist Jennifer Sokol, D.O. has joined the staff of Penn Foundation. Dr. Sokol will provide psychiatric evaluations and medication checks for children and adolescents accessing Penn Foundation’s Mental Health Outpatient Services. This program offers a variety of treatment approaches to address childhood and adolescent difficulties and emotional issues. Treatment approaches include individual assessments; psychiatric and psychological evaluations; individual, family, and group therapy; play therapy; and medication management.
Dr. Sokol holds special interest in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, and American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Sokol earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Her post-graduate training includes a residency in Adult Psychiatry and a Fellowship in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System. She earned a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University.
