MADISON, NJ - Brian Chinni collected three hits and four RBI to steer the Madison varsity baseball team to a 10-3 victory over Dover Thursday afternoon at Madison High School.
The Dodgers, now 2-1 on the season, scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a 4-2 lead. Chinni's two-run single in that inning snapped the 2-2 tie.
Zach Evans also collected three hits, driving in a run and scoring a run, for Madison. Ian Weber had two singles in three at-bats. Chinni and Bobby Finelli of Madison each smacked a double. Tyler Pilat had two RBI.
Winning pitcher Blake Fielding worked the first five innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs, before Evans and Mike Martirano each pitched a scoreless inning in relief to close out the game.
