April 29, 2014 at 2:53 PM

You know that summer has arrived in Roselle Park, New Jersey when the Church of the Assumption’s annual St. Anthony Italian Family Feast returns for its 14th year! Once again it will be four days of faith, fun, family and friends, packed full of delicious homemade cooking, an Italian style Café, food venders, a beer & wine garden, non-stop entertainment and music (more performers than 2013!), amusements, and games. The events, located on the Church grounds at 113 Chiego Place, Roselle Park, will begin on Thursday, June 5 and run through Sunday, June 8. Hours: Thurs 6-10PM, Fri 6-11PM, Sat 4-11PM, Sun 2-10PM.

These four days will be packed full of fun for everyone. New this year will be an appearance by The Papermill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir on 6/5 from 6:00-6:30pm. There will also be a variety of local dance and karate studios performing, The Jersey Shades Band will be playing, singer Eric Delauro will do a Sinatra Tribute; plus on 6/8 at 4:00pm there will be a poetry program presented by Roselle Park’s Poet Laureate, Leona M Seufert.

Also, two radio stations will add to the fun: On Thurs. 6/5 from 6:00-8:00pm - Magic 98.3FM Radio and on Sat. 6/7 from 6:00-8:00pm NJ 101.5 Big Yellow Prize Van will make appearances. And don’t forget the rides, they will have your children screaming with delight!

The Feast is also a faith oriented celebration. After the 12 Noon Mass on 6/8 there will be a traditional procession through the streets with the statue of St. Anthony accompanied with music by the Metropolitan Festival Band (they will also be playing during the Feast that day). Once again, the beautiful 100 year old statue of St. Anthony, that was part of the parish when founded in 1907, will be the center piece of the procession.

Pre-Sale ride tickets will be available after all Masses starting in May with a discounted price of $12.00 per sheet of 15 tickets. This is a 36% savings! And Thursday, June 6, 2013 is "Pay-One-Price" wristband night (not available at presale).  Buy a wristband for $25 and enjoy unlimited rides from 6-10 pm.

There will also be nightly 50/50's and a SUPER 50/50 (Super 50/50 Drawing will be Sun June 8 at 9:00pm) ! Since this is the single largest fundraiser for the parish you’ll also be helping the parish while you are having fun.
