City Issues Draft of Downtown Planning Study


SUMMIT, NJ - A draft report of the Downtown Summit Planning Study has been completed, and will be available for public review -- beginning at 12 p.m., April 17 --  on the City's website at 

The study was completed after more than one year of information gathering, and meetings with key community groups.

The Downtown Planning Study focuses on many points of interest for Summit’s downtown from economic vitality, streetscape and pedestrian improvements to way-finding, parking, business recruitment and e-commerce. Burgis Associates was retained to conduct the study for the City of Summit Planning Board.

There will be a public presentation of the Downtown Planning Study draft report on Monday, April 28 at the Planning Board meeting at 7:30 p.m. in Common Council Chambers at City Hall.  The presentation will be televised on HomeTowne Television (Comcast TV 36, Verizon Channel 33).
