PARKLAND, FL- As a new month begins, the Parkland Commissioner's meeting made a notable decision on Tuesday evening, declaring that in the City of Parkland the month of March will be proclaimed as Women's History Month.

According to the city's social media page, "the proclamation recognizes the significant historic contributions women of every race, class, and ethnic background have made to the growth and strength of our nation—and the critical economic, cultural, and social roles they continue to play in communities throughout the country."
