FANWOOD, NJ – Several sales associates from the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Westfield West office rolled up their sleeves and pitched in with clean up and planting flowers supplied by Fanwood for approximately 30 downtown area planters, including La Grande Park.
This all took place last Thursday, April 25, as part of Coldwell Banker's regional “Cares Days” event. Cares Days is about supporting local communities and organizations through the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Foundation, the company’s philanthropic arm, from April 25-27. The company’s 58 real estate offices all took part in the event.
“Our sales associates recognize how much their local communities have given to them and always strive to give something back. Each of our offices takes part in numerous charitable activities throughout the year, and Cares Days are an opportunity to stand together as a company and make a positive impact across the region,” said Hal Maxwell, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y.
George Kraus, the Vice President and Manager of the Coldwell Banker Westfield West office added, “From a business standpoint, it gives us an opportunity to take interest and pride in the communities we serve by giving back."
Since its inception in 2005, the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Foundation in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y. has given more than $570,000 to charities supporting local communities, along with countless volunteer hours donated by the company’s sales associates. These activities have included collecting goods for local food banks and animal shelters, volunteering time with seniors at nursing homes and children at local schools, hosting garage sales to support Habitat for Humanity and Hurricane Sandy relief, planting community gardens, cleaning beaches, taking part in charitable runs and hosting blood drives, among others.
