MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The Columbia boys' and girls' swim teams each opened on a winning note Tuesday, with victories over Glen Ridge.

The boys team won, 104-54. Declan Lynch swam the 200-meter freestyle in 1:53.58. Aidan Dwyer clocked in at 0:59.27 in the 100 fly. In the 200 relay, the team of Aidan Dwyer, Thaddeus Bernard, Spencer Haines and Declan Lynch combined for a time of 1:47.22.

In the 400 relay, Spencer Haines, Declan Lynch, Thaddeus Bernard and Aidan Dwyer teamed for a time of 3:43.85. Zubin Kremer-Guha swam the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:14.25.

On the girls' side, Columbia defeated Glen Ridge, 96-71. Maya Glenn swam the 200-meter freestyle in 2:14.92 for the Cougars. In the 50 freestyle, Gabby Hayek came in with a time of 27.50. The team of Elly Ragone, Katharina Dowlin, Gabby Hayek and Maya Glenn swam the 200 relay in a combined time of 1:50.97.

In the 400 relay, Elly Ragone, Katharina Dowlin, Gabby Hayek and Maya Glenn swam a time of 4:08.53. Maya Glenn swam a time of 1:14.97 in the 100-meter breaststroke.
