MONTVILLE, NJ – Voting is the backbone of our democracy.  As two political organizations in Montville Township, we wanted to come together, in a nonpartisan way, to encourage every eligible voter in town to exercise that right.  The best way to make sure everyone’s perspective is heard is to fill out your ballot.  YOUR VOTE IS YOUR VOICE!

Montville Township is located in the 11th congressional district and the 26th state legislative district. When you vote in November, you’re not just voting for who sits in the White House, but you will also vote for representatives at the state and local levels that directly influence the policies and issues we care about in Montville Township. That’s why it’s vital to learn more about your sitting senators (local and national), congressional representatives, assembly representatives, freeholders, and township committee representatives.

At this point, you should have already received your vote by mail ballot (if you are a registered Democrat or Republican).  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our July 7th primary election is a vote by mail election.  Casting your vote by mail is the safest and most efficient way to have your voice heard this primary season. Secure drop-boxes will be placed throughout Morris County. The Montville Township drop-box is located at the Municipal Building, 195 Changebridge Rd. It is clearly marked by the county clerk’s office (not the yellow mailbox for water, sewer, and tax payments). The Montville Township Senior Center (356 Main Road/Route 202) will be open as a polling station for residents with disabilities and those who wish to cast a provisional ballot (click here to see if you qualify) on the date of the primary election.

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

For more information, and to fill out a voter registration form, please visit the Morris County Clerk’s website (or click here). A list of secure drop-box locations is also available online (click here). Not sure if you’re already registered to vote? You can confirm your registration status on the state website (click here).  If you’re interested in getting involved beyond doing your bit at the polls, we invite you to learn more about our organizations and the candidates and policies they represent.
